The OOI Level 2 Dissolved Nitrate Concentration, Temperature & Salinity Corrected core data product (L2 NITRTSC) is based on the ultraviolet (UV) absorption characteristics of nitrate dissolved in seawater. The L2 NITRTSC is produced from the L0 NITROPT output of the NUTNR instrument class and the L1 Water Temperature (TEMPWAT) and L2 Practical Salinity (PRACSAL) core data products from a co-located Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) instrument. The L2 NITRTSC core data product improves upon accuracy of onboard L1 NITRDIS through corrections for both seawater absorbance and its temperature dependence
