Due to a calibration error, this instrument reported oxygen levels that could be as much as 4.2% too low. Statement from the manufacturer: "A recent routine control check of the O2 reference sensors, used for multipoint calibration of oxygen Optodes, revealed a deviation with respect to accuracy. The revealed deviation in the reference sensors is a 2.7% linear loss (percent of reading) in response to oxygen which means that these optodes will report oxygen levels that could be as much as 4.2% too low (deviation in slope). The 2.7% deviation is in excess of the specified MPC accuracy of ±1.5%."
