Deployments 1, 2 and 7: Data gap at the end of the deployment is not annotated in the system.

Deployments 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7: Invalid data represent data well above the maximum global ranges 400 µmol/(L,Kg) for dissolved oxygen concentrations or 110 % for oxygen saturation. Biofouling and DO sensor drift are both observed in the data.

Deployment: 6

A data gap is not annotated in the system ['2017-10-24T16:33:21', '2017-10-25T17:30:14'].
From previous notes, the gap in the data is due to batteries not recharging sufficiently. To conserve power, the MFN was turned off and the NSIF was reduced to 1 hour communications. The OPTAA is the only instrument on the MFN without internal batteries. See redmine ticket #12980 .

The NetCDF data file is missing the appropriate variables coordinates. In this case the coordinates are 'int_ctd_pressure', 'lat' and 'lon'.

Prior to the use of UV lamps for biofouling mitigation, this sensor would routinely biofoul after the first 6-8 weeks of a deployment (more common during a spring/summer deployment). Users should carefully examine the data to determine if biofouling has begun to dominate the signal.

Evidence of increased oxygen during daylight hours suggest a phytoplankton layer has started to develop on the face of the instrument, producing oxygen as a result of photosynthesis. Have doubled the period of time the UV biofouling control lamp is on in order to hopefully stop and reverse the growth.

We are experiencing an intermittent failure of communication between the systems on the NSIF and the buoy. While the systems on the NSIF are operating, due to a change in the telemetry system, only a finite backlog of data is telemetered to shore. As a result, when communications are restored, some of the data backlog may be missing and there may be gaps in the record.

Due to a bug in the mooring telemetry system, data during this time range was not telemetered to shore. It was recorded on the mooring and instruments and will be available in the recovered data streams.
