CP05MOAS

Bad altimeter pings are apparent in many deployments of the coastal gliders. A few example plots are attached - m_water_depth plotted as semi-transparent bathymetry.

Glider optodes typically exhibit a sensor lag of 20-25 seconds. Example attached of several segments with consecutive down and up casts for CP05MOAS-GL335-04-DOSTAM000 on 10/26/2015 showing a typical measurement time lag. Profiles should be analyzed for individual time lags and data should be adjusted. OOI doesn't necessarily need to make the adjustment but users should be aware of the issue.

Comparisons with the shipboard CTD casts were done for D0003 and D0006.The shipboard CTD cast data are corrected for temperature, salinity, and depth (Redmine 14230). The L2 DO data product (corrected for temperature, salinity and depth) from the glider is lower compared to the shipboard data (D0003 is substantially lower and could be related to the issue of incorrect default salinity settings on some glider optodes: Redmine 13575). For both comparisons, the difference between the downcast and upcast shows evidence of thermal lag. Comparison to the shipboard bottle data is outside the scope of this project. Note: the conversion from ml/l to umol/kg for the shipboard DO = DO (ml/l) * 44.661 / 1.025.

Deployment: 1

Glider doesn't look like it sampled according to plan. This should be annotated.

CP05MOAS-GL387-04-DOSTAM000
Deployment: 4

Suspect data - high DO outliers. This seems to occur particularly when the glider is close to the seafloor.

CP05MOAS-GL387-04-DOSTAM000
Deployment: 6

28% of sci_abs_oxygen values are NaNs or outside global ranges for this deployment. Likely related to conductivity cell issue (annotation ID 940). Data after 11/12/2017 should be considered suspect.

Deployment 7: Glider's altimeter failed on 5/27/2019 so it will be limited to sampling the bottom line of the FZ box and to 500m until the end of the deployment.
