Description

Evidence of increased oxygen suggests a biofouling has started to develop on the face of the instrument, producing oxygen as a result of photosynthesis.

"Evidence of increased oxygen during daylight hours suggest a phytoplankton layer has started to develop on the face of the instrument, producing oxygen as a result of photosynthesis. Have doubled the period of time the UV biofouling control lamp is on in order to hopefully stop and reverse the growth." - from annotation

CE02SHSM-RID27-04-DOSTAD000 - 1/1/2016 - 6/1/2016 clear evidence of biofouling
CE04OSSM-RID27-04-DOSTAD000 - clear evidence of biofouling in early deployments (4/21/2017 - 10/13/2017), maybe UV light in deployment 8 with improvement? (4/20/2019 - 10/21/2019)
